Developed for the Intermunicipal Community of Terras de Trás-os-Montes (CIM-TTM) by designer Carlos Pereira of Induse, this urban equipment aims to enhance the territory, promoting the identity, accessibility and enjoyment of its nine municipalities.
Installed in public spaces, it is presented as a modular, sustainable and technologically integrated system, consisting of illuminated directional signage, seating with information support and bicycle parking. Installed in public spaces, it is presented as a modular, sustainable and technologically integrated system, consisting of illuminated directional signage, seating with information support, and bicycle parking. Communication operates on two levels: one physical, with maps and information engraved on the materials and another digital, accessible via QR Codes, with updated content.
The signage indicates the distances to the municipal headquarters and has autonomous solar lighting, ensuring visibility and energy efficiency. The materials – cast aluminum, steel and reinforced composites – ensure durability, resistance, and simplified maintenance, aligning with principles of sustainability and circular economy. More than just urban furniture, the equipment is an identity and functional landmark that reinforces the connection between people and territory, promoting public space as a place for meeting, orientation and discovery.
